Life’s complexities can often feel overwhelming, especially when the echoes of the past interfere with the present. My mission is to help individuals who find themselves entangled in these challenges, guiding them toward clarity and healing. I am a Registered Social Worker with over 14 years of experience, certified by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. My diverse background includes working with individuals, couples, families, children, and youth.
I hold a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto and employ a client-centred approach in my practice. I am dedicated to providing evidence-based therapy for a wide range of emotional and adjustment difficulties, with a focus on trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally competent practices.
Recognizing that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience, I use a holistic and eclectic approach. My methods include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, The Gottman Method of Relationship Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), family systems theory, and solution-focused/brief modalities. These tools allow me to develop tailored, goal-directed plans that address mental health concerns, improve family dynamics, and resolve relational issues.
As a proud Bangladeshi Canadian, I am committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where we can explore how faith, culture, race, life transitions, and relationships shape your experience. If you feel your concerns are too small to warrant professional help, remember that any step towards change is a significant one. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to discuss how we can work together towards meaningful progress. Let’s connect and start your journey toward a more fulfilling life.
